So another month rolls by, and Oh! Canada are pleased to bring you another edition of our compilations showcasing the best new Canadian music. This month we celebrate the start of the Ice Hockey season (always a big event in Canada), kicking off with a hockey song from 21 Tandem Repeats. We also bring you tracks from bright new hopes Yukon Blonde, the Japandroids endorsed Makeout Videotape, lo fi-meets-saw charm from Aaron Read and a track from the forthcoming Carolyn Mark and NQ Arbuckle duets album while the Julie Doiron supporting Construction and Destruction make not one but two appearances, contributing guest vocals (and namechecking themselves) on The Burning Hell‘s contribution. To close this month’s compilation we are very pleased to bring you a new track from one of Canada’s biggest acts. In all The Tragically Hip have clocked up 8 Canadian number one albums, and it would be no surprise if the forthcoming We Are The Same achieved the same accolade!
