Inspired by the spirit of In The Woods, ILK have given their own take on the festival - bringing a mixtape comprised of compositions made from sounds strictly captured at the festival site.
Captured on site between August and September last year, the sonic journey takes us from the building and setup process through to the festival itself taking shape, buzzing with life, and then to it’s eventual pack down and return to nature where we hear the sounds of bees reclaiming their home as we are brought back to the peaceful sound of streams, birdsong and night owls. ILK’s composition captures everything from intimate moments of work discussions, work song and the sounds of tools and machinery to the hum of festivities as people arrive on site, singing along to their favourite tunes in the silent disco, the crackling of the bonfire and the buzz of the party.
You can stream the mix in full below, the first 100 people to head over to the soundcloud page will have the option of a free download too.
