Wovoka Gentle air psych-folk charmer "You Have Saved Our Lives, We Are Eternally Grateful"
London three-piece Wovoka Gentle have announced a new EP and are sharing lead single "You Have Saved Our Lives, We Are Eternally Grateful".
The new EP follows up their self-titled release over the summer, and sees twin sisters Imogen and Ellie Mason, and William Stokes expand upon their '60s-psych tinged folk experiments.
New single "You Have Saved Our Lives, We Are Eternally Grateful" is sweet and affecting like The Staves, but rampantly avante-garde like Oliver Wilde. Guitars and harmonies are still very much this trio's bread 'n' butter, but they haunt frets with samples, and manipulate rhythms and textures with aplomb.
They've only played one show so far (a sold out performance at Cecil Sharp House), but there's another planned on 23 November at Electrowerkz.
The Wovoka Gentle EP [Blue] is out 27 November on Yucatan Records. Yucatan, you may remember, help sort out a night called Sphere in Dalston.
