Listen: Woman's Hour – Thunder
With typical poise and serenity Woman’s Hour unveil a new track and b-side to their forthcoming single ‘Darkest Place’.
Fiona Burgess’ silky vocal once again plays a lead role, cascading above hypnotic synth lines and gentle punctuation from warm guitars; “I’m sorry I let you down for the second time/Remember when I moved you for the first time” pulls at heartstrings before the warm chorus brings ambiguous glimmers of hope.
With ‘Thunder’, the London via Kendal trio continue to cement themselves as a new stand-out force in fixating pop; they’re doing something quite different and it’s gorgeous.
‘Thunder’ is taken from the band’s forthcoming ‘Darkest Place’ single out 21st October on Luv Luv Luv Records.
