This brilliantly ambient remix of Wild Swim’s ‘Echo’ is the work of Oxfordshire production duo, Cubiq. The track swims along gently through a wonderfully ghostly vocal with neatly increasing layers of noise, culminating in the satisfying arrival of the bass line – glueing everything together effortlessly.
Cubiq’s simplistic hue maintains the electronic brilliance of the original, however the music students’ techno competence allows for a reworking of high quality and eerie excellence, perfectly apt for the track’s title.
‘Echo’ is released via Believe Digital on November 26.
