Watch: Soko - "Lovetrap (ft. Ariel Pink)"
French pop star Soko unveils her new music video for "Lovetrap" featuring caricatures of herself and Ariel Pink.
Featuring on Soko's recent album My Dreams Dictate My Reality, "Lovetrap" is both seductive and sentimental. Soothing synth melodies meet nostalgically sun-kissed choruses, crafting a flawless pop hit that swoons as much as it soars.
The accompanying self-directed video stars Soko as farcical imitations of herself and collaborator Ariel Pink (who also cameos in the clip), dancing, smoking, and striking a pose for the evidently not-present paparazzi, before throwing screaming "I HATE MUSIC VIDEOS!" and storming off into the distance.
Soko will play Manchester's Ruby Lounge on 25 March, and London's 100 Club on 26 March.
My Dreams Dictate My Reality is out now via Babycat Records/Because Music.
