Having initially cut her teeth as guest vocalist on Katy Perry’s nineties throwback anthem “Walking On Air” and Adam Kanyama’s “Golden Child”, Swedish newcomer Sabina Ddumba strikes gold with her debut single “Scarred For Life”.
A powerful ballad that showcases Ddumba’s soulful vocal to wonderful effect, “Scarred For Life” cuts as deep as the lyrical content. Building slowly towards the gut wrenching chorus – “cuts are getting deeper, you really fucked me up this time” – the track destined to soundtrack countless ensuing heartbreaks.
