Watch: Misty Miller - "Best Friend (Stripped)" [Premiere]
Misty Miller is sharing the video for her latest track "Best Friend (Stripped)", exclusively on Best Fit ahead of her upcoming Sweet Nothing EP's release.
Like many of the EP's cuts, it's not actually acoustic. It is back to basics - this is no frills rock balladry, sans bass, beats or frothy filler - heavy on the emotive strands of Miller's songwriting and the complimentary timbre of her electric guitar.
Her message doesn't need deciphering, as she's forthcoming about her feelings and straightforward in her explanation: "I'm so scared of losing my best friend..." However, in being refreshingly simple, it's easy to transplant her agony to your own messy love situations. This is a crying-on-the-sofa-under-a-blanket-with-my-pals-ben-and-jerry kind of breakup tune, and, really, is there any better kind?
The Sweet Nothing EP is due out 2 March on Relentless.
