Watch: Lowly - "Stones In The Water"
Denmark's fuzzy-pop fivesome Lowly have released the video for their new single "Stones In The Water".
Denmark's William Reynish, who's worked on music videos for When Saints Go Machine and James Blake, directed and created Lowly's new clip.
Vocalist/laptoppist Soffie Viemose says of the track:
“The song is written about a canoeing trip in Canada I went on with my father and brother as a kid... my Dad would tell me tales of the loon on the lake and how the number of calls it made would be the same as the years you had left to live. Iʼm sure he meant well but I would stay up all night counting and being afraid to die! That loonʼs call put a serious mark on me! (And the sound is scary as hell!). The other parts of the song are mostly images and flickers from that trip.”
Lowly will feature at the upcoming Ja Ja Ja club night 30 October alongside Francobollo and Hanne Kolstø.
