Months after appearing on the radar with their brace of rapturously received two-track demo EP’s, Sunderland collective Let’s Away have returned to debut a splendidly melancholy live performance video for ‘Only In The Dark.

Filmed in the beautiful surroundings of ancient Whitburn Church on the North East coastline, ‘Only In The Dark’ provides a snapshot of the band’s rare and enchantingly fragile live show. Let’s Away have created a classic downtempo pop ode, unravelling a vaguely sordid romance through vocalist Neil Wood’s tenderly doleful tones, despondent streaks of guitar, starry piano notes and smoky female backing vocals. All that pent up heartache is released in the stunning finale of soaring reverb infused chords and fluttering cymbals.
