South London vocalist Joel Compass is fast gaining a huge reputation for two things: his divine falsetto tones and his equally stupendous promo clips.
Joel dropped the title-track off his forthcoming Astronaut EP on Black Butter Records midway through July and he returns this week with another madcap, bombastic accompanying video. Naturally.
This time around Joel’s rapturous soulful thrums are submerged in flooding RnB beats as the Penge-raised crooner ascends into the stratosphere, or rather a green screen in a pricey CGI studio. A corny metaphor for his music going supernova? Obviously, but nothing is going to stop this teenage talent from achieving global superstar status.
