Watch: Fictonian - "Make It Be Ours" [Premiere]
Genre-bending multi-instrumentalist Fictonian is sharing his unique visuals for recent single "Make It Be Ours" exclusively on Best Fit.
The video was filmed and directed by Fictonian in Herefordshire on the banks of the River Wye, apparently near to where the track was itself written.
Speaking about the video, Fictonian explains his aims and original concept:
"I knew exactly what I wanted visually - to work with the lyrics and song, so started recording videos of my feet (and my girlfriends feet) the same day I wrote the song, before it was ever demoed. That was over two years ago now, so I've had a lot of feet footage to play with!
“The song is written about imagining something you want to happen and then making it become reality...I was about to go on holiday with my girlfriend to Croatia and was painting pictures in my mind of what we'd do. Those imaginations did actually come to life on holiday, and lots of those feet videos are from that exact holiday, so the video and the song are very connected for me.
“Once you become practiced at making imaginations and dreams come true, the lines between reality and imagination become slightly blurred, and in the song I mention how, although in reality the future is always fictional, in your mind the future can become non-fiction once your optimism and confidence are in control.”
"Make It Be Ours" will be available digitally and on limited edition 10” vinyl on 4 May on Distiller.
