Watch: Fat White Family – Auto Neutron
Brixton based Fat White Family’s third single from their debut LP Champagne Holocaust, ‘Auto Neutron’, withholds a promise of sleazy, yet beautiful blues and faintly evil glimmers of London’s underbelly.
Undoubtedly one of the more strangely seductive tracks of this year, the wah-wah guitar and the undemanding drums slither their way through relaxed, psychedelic vocals, creating a romantic, dim lit atmosphere reminiscent of the ‘comforts’ of the band’s pub squat, The Queen’s Head. Akin to a less manic Goat, the creeping tempo and sinister, tribal harmonies create a blanket of darkness over this enticing slice of 70s nodding rock. Check out the macabre accompanying visuals below.
