Watch: ex-Girls frontman Christopher Owens discusses new solo album
Girls’ last record, Father, Son, Holy Ghost, was one of our favourite records of 2011, and it made us pretty bummed out when the group split earlier this year.
Luckily, however, Christopher Owens has a new solo album coming and there doesn’t seem to be a vast departure from what came before under the band pseudonym.
Having previously spoke of the reason why his former band split, the San Francisco singer dined with Pitchfork recently and gave an in-depth run through of new full-length, Lysandre.
“I felt like this story was a very personal one,” Owens told the website over a pretty swanky looking dinner. “So it made sense it be my first solo record.”
