Watch: Duke Garwood - "Burning Seas (Heavenly Session)" [Premiere]
Duke Garwood, the "savaged blues" singer-songwriter, has performed a series of intimate, acoustic sessions for his label Heavenly, and you can watch his latest - "Burning Seas" - exclusively via Best Fit.
It's a fragile Americana ditty build of fingerpicked guitars and Garwood's soulful croon; this is country balladry at its most tormented and visceral, and the live rendition serves only to heighten the raw-nerve streak it proudly boasts.
Mark Lanegan has offered a few words about Garwood's upcoming LP, Heavy Love:
"The entire record listening public should know Duke Garwood's music. The fact most don't is a fucking travesty. He’s a mystic, a musical genius and Heavy Love is a total mind-blowing masterpiece. Get with it people!"
Garwood's Heavy Love is out 9 February on Heavenly. You can pre-order the record here.
