Watch: DMA's - "So We Know" [Premiere]
DMA's, a pop-rock trio from southern Sydney, are showing their video for upcoming single "So We Know" exclusively on Best Fit.
The track is part of the band's debut UK release - a AA-side with unheard cut "Laced". It's an acoustic charmer with '90s tinges and a tangible grit - this seems to be a thread in Oz-pop of late, with DMA's buds Jagwar Ma mining a similar thread. Manchester's famed sons, Oasis, in their many guises, are points of reference for sure, but there's a sweetness to DMA's melodies that is distinctly individual. They hawk a pop sound with ambient synth gristle and frothy warmth; the guitars are soft and vocals, despite sounding harsh initially, are imbued with a sense of innocence, hope and torment.
The band are also performing at CMJ Music Marathon this month, with headline dates to be announced shortly.
