Watch: Disciples - "They Don't Know"
South London production trio Disciples avidly shun the produce + guest = profit approach, preferring to do everything themselves; it's clearly worked, as they attracted the attention of a score of notable ears, including Zane Lowe and Annie Mac.
Infused with a Jungle zest, the three-piece make deliciously danceable grooves in "They Don't Know", a mysterious, menacing ditty with disco flecks and club hooks. It's crammed with earworms, and just trying to get it out of your bonce is a feat in itself.
Cutting their teeth on remixes of the likes of Lana Del Rey, Duvall, Luke and Gavin (AKA Disciples), put their recent successes down to their combined powers; explaining, Duvall says: "Gavin has an ear for percussion and beat-driven music, and I have an ear for melody and musical chorus and stuff like that, so the contrast complements each other. And Luke is fantastic with arrangement and is quick on his feet with lyrics."
The single's out 22 February via Parlophone/FFRR, and you can pre-order it here.
