Watch: Dems – Desire [Best Fit Premiere]
London electro-pop trio Dems have set themselves a rather lofty target of making a new release every two months throughout 2013. ‘Desire’, out 24 March is the latest in their series of download singles and the follow up to ‘Christabel’.
‘Desire’ features all of Dems’ signature ghostly synthetic swoops and softly repeating breaks though it’s the strongly evocative lyrics eased out from Dan Moss’ yearning pipes that prove to be the most powerful and vitalizing hook. The accompanying video sees Dems exploring space travel with a cast of conflagrant horses and hostile celestial beings; the end product is a truly awe-inspiring cut of CGI-noir. If they can maintain this standard of intricate beauty in both visuals and sound; Dems’ complete collection will be nothing short of a masterpiece.
