German indie-electro outfit, Claire, have announced they will release their new EP Broken Promise Land via Astralwerks on 24 September. First single ‘Games’ has been floating around for a little while now but we’ll use any old excuse to drool over those punchy synth riffs and bold blocky guitar hooks one more time.
Similar to Mausi and touring partners CHVRCHES in their affinity with stitching sticky sweet female vocals – contributed in this instance by leading lady Josie-Claire Bürkle – into exotic dance-pop instrumental sections, the Munich five-piece are nailing the breezy synth-led sound we badly crave in the height of summer.
‘Games’ will be available to download on 13 August, bundled with a remix from I Heart Sharks.
