Watch: Brooke Candy – Pussy Make The Rules

You might remember Brooke Candy from her star turn in the clip for Grimes’ ‘Genesis’ – Candy was the one wearing that chrome-plated armour and platforms.

The 23-year old Californian also popped up on Charli XCX’s track ‘Cloud Aura’ last year and made a splash herself with a string of equally bold tracks (remember ‘I Wanna Fuck Right Now’ from back in February?).

‘Pussy Make The Rules’ doesn’t mince its meaning for a moment and the visuals to accompany the track hit home Candy’s rhetoric with a spiked 4 X 7. Crystallising the sexually confrontational à la Lil Kim, with the same absurdity that makes Nick Minaj and the Gaga so interesting, Candy’s set at next weekend’s Great Escape festival in Brighton is sure to be one of the event’s more colourful moments.

After her set at The Great Escape next week, Candy heads to London for a headline show at XOYO on 22 May.
