Watch: BEA - "We're Like The Hard Born"
Pop-noir chanteuse BEA has released the video for her latest single, “We’re Like the Hard Born”. It’s a surreal, single-shot piece of film that encapsulates all that is interesting about the Dutch-born enchantress, as well as including a rather vexing canine presence.
All set to the sublime coalescence of futuristic synths and haunting horn bursts, BEA’s silky-smooth croon bursts into life with the appearance of her porcelain visage on screen. Wearing a full-body cream wetsuit, the self-controlled camera (iPhone) never leaves her face, except, rather bizarrely, to be covered by the translucent, disembodied head of a CGI golden retriever. Could it be that the latest lady of ethereal church-pop has gone a bit barking?
Directed by frequent BEA collaborator, Piet Langeveld, “We’re like the Hard Born” is the second release from her upcoming four-track EP, Good Thinking, set for release on September 22. Further information is available at her website.
