Warmduscher's "1000 Whispers" is a brooding slither of mammoth rock'n'roll
After listening to "1000 Whispers", you may feel like you need to have a bath - but in a good way.
Warmduscher are a band that have a knack for bringing together the swaggering excitement of rock'n'roll but beef it up with their own brand of imposing garage rock in such a way that it will leave you reeling, but also wanting more, and their latest offering is no different.
"1000 Whispers" is a track that revels in the dirt, fuelled by filthy, fuzzed-up guitars and a powerful vocal delivery from head honcho Clams Baker, a front man who has worked up a reputation for delivering engimatic live performances.
It is a song with two identities, as it first saunters in with a deceptively calming opening before rupturing apart at the seams as the meteoric chorus belts in, exploding and destroying everything in its path as it rises with euphoric effect.
"1000 Whispers" comes in the lead up to the band's second album Whale City, which is due to be released on 1 June via The Leaf Label.
