Taken from new album Bathing Peach, V. V. Lightbody's "Fish In Fives" is a beautifully balmy acoustic ballad.
It's hard to pick individual elements out of the track to explain "Fish In Fives"' appeal. The track mooches effortlessly along, Lightbody's delicate yet deliberate vocal delivering lyrics in turn cryptic and crystal clear, while her flute lines bubble through from underneath. The single's gorgeously shot video complements its lo-fi feel: all hazy rollerblading and dimly lit bedrooms.
Bathing Peach is out now.
