Femme En Fourrure collaborator vivienxo strikes pop gold on dazzling new single "TTYN"
Russian-born singer/songwriter Victoria Zolotukhina has been experimenting with pop for a couple of years, and new single "TTYN" is a sparkling gem.
Co-produced by Finnish electropop duo Femme En Fourrure, the new single is also set to be released via their label, FEF Corp. "TTYN" is a glossy, upbeat number which sees vivienxo sink her teeth deep into an '80s-inspired synth pop sound.
"You're just another fuckboy," is a standout lyric paired with the hook "I thought you were special," really helping vivienxo's message hit home. The track deals with the realisation that after all that's said and done and the rose-coloured glasses are off, ultimately you're disappointed you're having to go through the same thing again.
There's still a spark there, a glimmer of hope that despite cutting all ties - for the uninitiated, "TTYN" means Talk To You Never - this is something you can get through alone. Matching the tounge-in-cheek lyrics with the upbeat, petty production works a treat as while there's a sadness to the track, it's the nonchalant delivery from Zolotukhina that really speaks volumes.
