"Suck At Love" is the vibrant new single from Violet Days - and it far from sucks
Sweden's Lina Hansson, aka Violet Days, is back with her first new track of 2017 and it's another bold pop banger.
While "O.D. On You" was packed with bright hooks, "Suck At Love" - produced as usual by Kris Eriksson - takes a slow jam route to success for Violet Days.
After a playful opening Hansson turns up the sultry factor; accompanied by buzzing synths, writhing drum patters and a choir of vocals that swoops low and high, the Swede sweetly sighs the line "we go low...we go high" in sync with her backing. Of the track, Violet Days tell us "it's about that insecurity when you know someone is bad for you, but still too good to give up." Hansson is right, it's intoxicating and alluring in all the right (and wrong) ways.
