Upstairs Open offer up infectious debut single "You Got Love"
Daniel James and Courtney Paynter have shared bewitching number "You Got Love", their debut single as Upstairs Open.
James Earp (Bipolar Sunshine, Fickle Friends) produces the track, which sees Upstairs Open introduce themselves via duelling male/female vocals, slippery basslines, and bright bursts of melody. "You Got Love" isn't the kind of track that hits your across the chops with hooks, but it'll be lodged in your head for days anyway - it's subtly addictive.
"'You Got Love' is a song about temptation, lust, and discovery," the pair explain. "People can become lost in curiosity, with a bittersweet understanding of knowing that when you can't have something, you want it more."
