Norwegian producer and beatmaker Undr drops new R&B-influenced single "Sharks"
You might have trouble on an internet search engine if you want to find out anything about Norway's Undr.
What we can tell you is that it's the moniker of producer and musician Rasmus Thallaug, and his new single "Sharks" marks him out as one to watch.
Combining a producer's nous for beats and razor-sharp production with a voice which takes as much from fellow Norwegian Fred Well as it does from a string of US R&B singers, the track feels more like a series of pre-chorus hooks than a song with one huge melody to grab hold of. What this means is that we get a series of little nuggets to hint at what Undr might do next.
From crooned moments to pitch-shifted vocals, bass heavy moments and lighter beats, "Sharks" moves to various corners but never feels lost.
