Given the area’s current penchant for smoky electronic soul, it should be no surprise that brother and sister duo TVÅ hail from Stockholm.
“Sensual” has been bubbling away in people’s consciousness since it appeared on the Faking It soundtrack, and is out now as the band continue to work on their debut EP.
Heartbreak and unrequited love are the order of the day, the vocal wistful and pure as the leas singer coos: “You got me runnin’ like a reject / and you’re on repeat, can’t press eject”. The vocal hooks and harmonies are the components that really melt your heart.
Underneath, the track clears space, with minimal synth lines accompanied by rippling beats and handclaps slowly building up into a stuttering electro song. “Sensual” never steps out of the gloom at the edges of the dance floor. Essential listening.
