One of the latest and most exciting acts to emerge from the Irish capital, TV People air their irresistible blend of garage and punk in new single “Nothing More”.

Dublin newcomers TV People are back with compelling new single “Nothing More”. The track could prove key in cementing the city’s reputation as one of Europe’s most compulsive music capitals. Mixed and recorded with Dan Doherty and mastered at Abbey Road Studios, “Nothing More” delivers a distinctly emphatic and relatable perspective with its emotive guitar textures and hypnotic - yet deeply contemplative - vocals.

Finding themselves unable to meet and rehearse face-to-face, TV People wrote the single remotely by sending each other recordings. “We feel that this gave the tune a really fluid and emotive feel to it,” they share. “There's no real sense of repetition and each section flows into the next in a really natural way. We're really happy with how it turned out and it's definitely something that we're going to incorporate into our writing going forward.”

With their persuasive and irresistible blend of garage and punk, TV People address the issue of identity as well as the concept of identifying the purpose in life, and this new release depicts the reflection on some of the challenges faced by young people in adolescence, and how the process of overcoming them often leads to existential anxiety.

Speaking of the idea behind it, the band describe “Nothing More” as “a product of the circumstances in which it was written. The existentialism of the lyrics was heavily influenced by the isolation of lockdown, and the way in which we structured and developed the song's ideas also came out of that environment”.
