Tusks reveals intense new track "False", signs to One Little Indian
Tusks is sharing "False", the title track from her debut on her new label One Little Indian, on Best Fit.
"False" is a sprawling walkabout through icy soundscapes and intense, conflicting emotions. It snowballs towards a goliath climax, beginning life as a bout of Daughter-esque delicacy and steadily growing towards post-rock hugeness via trip-hop chiarascuro; abrasive prongs jut into the noise and harmonic layers loop into oblivion. This is a hugely cinematic track with immense depth and complexity, and points towards a very exciting 2016 for Tusks.
Speaking about the track, Tusks - aka Emily Underhill - says: "I wrote the song quite a while ago - it's about being deeply in love with someone and realising at the same time that you really don't know them anymore. But even throughout that change you still retain this undeniable connection."
The False EP is out 10 June on One Little Indian. It follows her debut short-player Ink.
