Listen: Treasureseason - "We Live Fast" [Premiere]
Treasureseason have teased us all through this past summer with a forthcoming EP that, thanks to its name “Julep", promises to deliver saccharine-filled tracks of intoxicating syrupy consistency. Luckily, we won't have to wait long now with a release before the end of the year. In the meantime, the London-based duo have unveiled their latest sugary treat here on Best Fit.
“We Live Fast” is a clear echo of the dreamy-eyed, youth-loving ethos hoisted on the duo’s previous track, “The City”. Musically, it is, as expected, another glistening dream-pop composition; a sound perfected by producer David Powell who masterfully brandishes multiple synths colorations to infest the aural sense with uplifting grace. Vocalist Jess Bartlet sings smoothly about treading to infinity and about time moving too quickly. These metaphorical visions set to the track's leisurely pace might conjure many an Oneiric revery.
