The Wharves announce Electa LP, reveal explosive new single "The Strike"
The Wharves return with "The Strike", and excellent first taste of upcoming second album Electa.
The group, drawn from the UK, Ireland, and France, recorded the new record with Rory Attwell. Electa is the follow up to last year's "Naz" 7".
"The Strike" is a rhythm-heavy beaut with vintage rock vibes and a tenacious pulse. Gorgeous three-part harmonies perch atop a psych foam, with hefty basslines worming through crashing drums - it's a song that begins strong and simple, but slowly unravels, growing into an all-consuming wave of rocky pop brilliance.
Electa is released 4 November via Gringo. Pre-order now.
