The Vryll Society embrace pop on melodic offering “A Perfect Rhythm”

14 October 2016, 15:30 | Written by Alex Jones

Following a busy summer, which featured appearances at Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds and End Of The Road festival, Liverpool's The Vryll Society have delved into their psych-pop influences to produce a slice of melodic, guitar-fuelled indie.

With nods to the likes of The Verve and Luminous era The Horrors, “A Perfect Rhythm” takes its melodic cues from the nineties, combining an earworm chorus with a psychedelic undertone.

It’s a synthesiser free zone; guitars are instead given the task of impersonating their effects, providing the track with an analogue grounding.

With it being The Vryll Society's most pop-infused track to date, it serves as an interesting transition from their 2015 EP Pangea.

Produced and engineered by Joe Fearon and Tom Longworth (Parr Street Studios), “A Perfect Rhythm” is released on 4 November via Deltasonic Records.
