The Hallway return with new single "M.J.A.", a pocket-sized emo symphony
Led by former Team Me member Simen Schikulski, Norwegians The Hallway are back with a stirring new song.
"M.J.A." is the first new music since the mini-album Vestad was released last summer, and it hints at an even more epic outlook from Schikulski. Although this is something of a solo venture, The Hallway are fleshed out live by Andreas Westhagen (Carnival Kids), Simen Skari(Team Me) and Andreas Engeseth.
The track is led by Schikulski's passionate and wide-eyed vocals, and around this he adds dramatic piano riffs, piledriving drums and stabs of 80s pop-meets-90s-emo guitar. "M.J.A." is a song free of pretension - something you'll be familiar with if you were ever a fan of Team Me - and brilliantly crafted by Schikulski. who is fast becoming one of Norway's most admired song writers.
