The Castillians up the tempo with new single "You & Me"
Finally gearing up to release their second album, The Castillians have shared an enthralling first taste of what they're about to achieve.
Garage rock and roll at its most addictive, "You & Me" is a searing combination of tearing riffs and shiver-down-your-spine vocals. Letting loose with upbeat melodies and uptempo refrains, this track is the unrestrained release you didn't realise you needed.
In our recent interview with PNKSLM founder Luke Reilly, he spoke of his convictions behind the label's releases: "Every single band we've worked with I believe in 110%. And when we're getting support from big press all over the world for what we're doing, it's kinda reassured me that we're onto something... All we want is world domination. We've got the talent, we just need more exposure. The Castillians should be way fucking bigger than The Black Keys."
With guitar solos so blisteringly consuming it could make Marty McFly cower, The Castillians are back where they belong - being blasted through your speakers in an infectious daze. So what are you waiting for?
The Castillians open for Warm Soda at The Sunflower Lounge, Birmingham tonight (18 June), for Reigning Sound at The 100 Club, London on 22 June, and for Sudakistan at Debaser Slussen Terrace, Stockholm on 26 August.
Debut album Show Your Teeth was rereleased earlier this year. You & Me is released via PNKSLM Recordings in late October, and is available to preorder now.
