Rising talent Tertia May shares jazz pop ballad “White”
The Surrey singer has collaborated with producer Subculture on her new track.
A purveyor of twilight sounds, Tertia May combines dusky trumpets and digital samples with reverberated piano to create a memorable feeling, one you might experience walking home after a legendary night out or when waking up early to watch the sun come up. Whilst “White” is cool and collected it also contains some underlying themes that play on the idea that a certain degree of hardship is required to achieve blissful ecstasy.
In her own words: "Growing up I was always fascinated by the idea that fairytales had these villains who were pictured as powerful and manipulative. I wanted White to have this magical but quite cynical tone to it, representing love and trust within a relationship"
