Brooklyn’s Valerie Teicher floored us with her sprawling, seductive debut song “M&Ms” a little while back.
Donning the Tei Shi guise again, Valerie has offered up another preview of her upcoming self-released EP Saudade, entitled “Nevermind The End”.
The Bogotá-born bedroom-pop prodigy has kicked on from the floaty, self-deprecating chug of her brilliant debut; this time treating us to a toing, froing melody powered by raw thumps of bass and rasping snares, adorned with little curls of bubblegum synth. Confirmation – as if anyone needed it – that Brooklyn via Vancouver and Bogotá is just the start of her journey to the top.
