Team Picture indulge in fuzz-fuelled pop on debut single "Birthday Blues"
Leeds alt. rockers Team Picture have announced the release of their debut single "Birthday Blues".
Refusing to pull any punches, "Birthday Blues" is a storming, six-minute blast of lo-fi fuzz pop with psychedelic tendencies culminating in a euphoric crescendo.
Quite a way to make your introduction.
Drawing from their psych rock influences, with nods to the likes of Deerhunter and Thee Oh Sees, the Yorkshire outfit have been hard at work in the studio on their debut release since forming earlier in 2016.
It's quite the journey, with a relentless wall of fuzz accompanying the listener for the duration, adding layers of acid-tinged lead guitar when and where necessary.
With a series of singles in the pipeline for release later this year, it’s shaping up to be quite the start for this exciting prospect.
Team Picture’s "Birthday Blues" is out now.
