Team Me unshackle sprawling pop sunbeam "June" [Premiere]
Norwegian indie-pop collective Team Me are streaming their epic new offering "June" on Best Fit.
The six-piece refuse to loosen their grasp on summer's dwindling brightness, offering up a platter of gleaming hooks, to-the-rafters style choruses, and beats that beckon heat. It's undeniably addictive, and will be firmly lodged between our ears for next summer.
Lead singer Marius Hagen says of the track: "The song is about someone turning loopy, and how scary and fucked up it can be for everyone involved... I like it when there’s a certain amount of contrast, musically and lyrically. It gives it a special kind of dynamic and depth. I don’t want the Team Me universe being too happy either...”
The single is out 25 September via Propeller. The sextet's second LP Blind As Night is out now.
