Dead Skeletons' Shaun Nunutzi airs hypnotic "Huey Tonantzin (Madre Tierre)" under collective TAU
Inspired by Shaun Nunutzi’s (Dead Skeletons) ‘trips’ to Real de Catorce in north west Mexico, project TAU is the product of residing in the area he cites as the epicentre of “the original psychedelia” and a penchant for entrancing incantations.
Against a soundscape of mystic whirring, peyote-induced guitar reinforces the track's tribal quality. Nunutzi’s almost shamanic chanting is repeated like a mantra to "mother earth".
"Huey Tonantzin" undoubtedly captures the sound of being surrounded by endless desert plains - and we think it's brilliant.
TAU's debut EP Wirikuta is released via Fuzz Club 20 July. Pre-order here.
