Listen: Synkro – Mountains (Troy Gunner Remix)
On the wake of Synkro’s highly anticipated debut release for R&S imprint, Apollo Records, a fantastic unreleased single has slipped through the excitement cracks and into the ether(net). Really, what should be noted about this illustrious solitary release that drifts softly, in and out of blurry consciousness, is the way new-name-to-know, Troy Gunner revives the track and brings it into focus.
Dollops of thick-bottomed bass, rickety clicks and murmured cries are carefully crafted into silhouettes of echoed beats ricocheting off one another. Gentle, cooing distortion and slivers of vocal loops, along with a buzzing tempo update get your heart racing once more.
