Surfer Blood reveal fast version of their track "NW Passage" [Premiere]
Surfer Blood have unveiled their new edit of 1000 Palms track "NW Passage", transforming the acoustic number into a euphoric rock cut.
The tune will feature as the B-side for latest single "Feast Famine".
In our review of the record, we said that the original rendition of "NW Passage" is "quiet, delicate and reflective," adding that "acoustic guitar and exposed vocal unfurl against a backdrop of birdsong. Much like the rest of the LP, this track is awash with muted happiness."
Now, clearly, this new version is far from acoustic, swinging through the rock-canopy with '90s flair and distorted bliss. It's considerably more Surfer Blood-y, with lots of fuzz-coated riffs and their gorgeous indie-punk hooks liberally spread throught.
1000 Palms is out now via Fierce Panda.
