Friday sees the release of the debut album from Swedish two-piece Surf Philosophies. And today you can stream the excellent record in full via Best Fit.
Equal parts dreamy and pulsating, Surf Philosophies take the psychedelia of Animal Collective and Caribou and cram it into a rock and roll band framework. It works, though. It really does.
As the band explains, "Surf Philosophies don’t care what you think. We are the seagulls squawking for food, We are the whales singing for the ocean, We are the sharks mistaking surfers for seals." See for yourself below.
Surf Philosophies is out 20 January via Adrian Recordings.
