Strange Hellos give one last nod to summer 2016 with the sunny "We Are Trouble"
The third single from supergroup Strange Hellos is yet another example of their Norwegian west coast take on US west coast pop music.
Following on from "Broken Teenage Heart", the quartet of O Martin (AURORA), Birgitta Alida Hole (Lumikide), Fredrik Vogsborg (The Megaphonic Thrift, Casiokids) and Even Kjellby (Great News) have released another ridiculously infectious track in the shape of "We Are Trouble".
With a sound which pitches up between early Teenage Fanclub and the fuzzy jangle of Alvvays, Strange Hellos are fast developers. From a nervy first ever show at Oslo's Øyafestival in August, the band began to grow in confidence and produced an energetic and memorably giddy show in their home town of Bergen during Vill Vill Vest in September. One of the set highlights was "We Are Trouble", and the song hasn't lost any impact since then. Bright synths, distorted guitars and the honey sweet voice of Birgitta Alida Hole all combine to make this a classic sub-three-minute rush of alt pop joy.
