
Alt-pop babes ST.MARTiiNS think "ur so pretty"
Dundee duo ST.MARTiiNS are pretty damn adorable, and the good news is: the feeling's reciprocal!
"I like your face," sings vocalist Katie Lynch on new single "ur so pretty", her voice looping over noodling guitars in a sensually laid-back vein. ST.MARTiiNS' self-described brand of "blasé realism" keeps their lyrics grounded, whilst snappy percussion drives the track as languid melodies blur into crunchy distortion.
The duo – comprised of Lynch and longtime friend Mark Johnston – met at the tender age of 12, and have only grown closer over the years that have followed. With a steady stream of left-field pop releases already under their collective belts, 2018 has seen the pair deliver singles "do ur words" and "No It's All Over" in the wake of the previous year's EP, bad w/ her.
