SPORTS preview second album with "Reality TV"
Making complex problems sound punchy and contagious is something SPORTS do exceedingly well. Cue "Reality TV", a new track that tackles lonliness and heartache with as much get-up-and-go as can be mustered.
Driving with a buoyant optimism and a forceful confidence, "Reality TV" barrels through moments of fear, forlornness, and indifference. It's mutual benefit at it's most addictive - an apology and a plea presented alongside racing rhythms and sprawling guitar hooks.
"Take my mind off the empty space in this heart of mine," Carmen Perry implores, "and I'll take your mind off the empty space in your bed tonight." Fending off solitude with catchy garage-pop, SPORTS strum against your heartstrings with a naive openness that's entirely endearing.
"Reality TV" is the third track (following "Washing Machine" and "Saturday") to surface from SPORTS' forthcoming second album.
All of Something is released 30 October via Father/Daughter Records.
