Sorority Noise reach stratospheric new heights on "No Halo"

Sorority Noise have given a first taste of their upcoming album with the release of "New Halo".

Sorority Noise have always been a band capable of leaving you reeling with your hand on your heart and with tears in your eyes. With "No Halo" the band take this ardent emotion and soar to stratospheric new heights. An ode to lost friends, the track resounds with every ounce of innately felt adoration and frustration that comes from missing someone you love. Exploding in a whirlwind of echoing rhythms, all-encompassing guitar refrains, and guttural vocal cries, "No Halo" is the emotional thunderbolt you didn't realise you'd been waiting for.

"This song is about having a friend pass away and still keeping them fondly in your mind to the point where you show up to their house forgetting that they're no longer there," frontman Cam Boucher describes of the song. "It's about struggling to keep up with the people you love when you're away and how to be/how it feels to not be there for them when they need you most."

Titled You're Not As _____ As You Think, the follow up to the much celebrated Joy, Departed is released in March. The band recently teased the record with a trailer video, which you can watch here.

"No matter what I feel, it’s going to be okay," Boucher says of the emotions that inspired the new record. "Things are going to be tough, but it’s going to be fine in the end - and you have to keep going because you just have to. This is how it’s going to be. You’ve just got to do it."
