Jane Void and Wayne Doe’s moody Purity Ring-nodding drone-pop outfit, Some Minor Noise, first caught our attention via the good folks at Pigeons And Planes earlier in the month.
We’d barely finished digesting the triumphant ‘Understanding‘, when the duo – whose names we strongly suspect are pseudonyms – went and dropped another hefty dollop of sprawling electronica on us this weekend. ‘Coffers’ is the pick of those four new tunes, with galloping kick beats, glinting synthesizers and brushed hi-hats complimenting Jane’s delicate mewl. If this is the demo clear-out that comes before a radical sonic overhaul, then what a fine way to sign off.
