
SOFI TUKKER turn up the volume on politically charged track "Greed"
Dance-pop twosome SOFI TUKKER have shared a political new punk-infused cut called "Greed".
The Grammy-nominated pair, Sophie Hawley-Weld and Tukker Halpern, delve into deep electronica and raucous refrains, eschewing the balmy, Latin-flecked pop bent of previous outings. It's still got sinewy riffs and beats to chew through, but there's an energetic streak demanding action instead of beckoning movement.
"There's a reason we're putting this out on President's Day," SOFI TUKKER say of the track. "'Greed' has been the government’s M.O. this year - and it’s not just about one man. This is one of the first times Sophie has ever screamed. Unfortunately, there is a lot to scream about right now."
"Greed" arrives after FIFA 17-featuring jam "Johny". The new tracks follows stellar debut EP Soft Animals, which features singles such as "Matadora", "Awoo", "Déjà Vu Affair", and "Hey Lion".
