Londoner Sody is only 16 years old. Between writing sessions she’s preparing for her GCSEs. Her newest single “Let Go” is an anthem for teenagehood.
Last year Sody released her debut EP Youth, and has been on the rise ever since. She flew to LA for a publishing deal, making the Londoner one of the youngest artists on their roster.
Sody has a voice you’ll instantly recognise after listening to it once, and is not trying to hide her English accent. “Let Go” takes aim at the daily pressures young people have to face and the need to shake it off. “All I wanna do is let go / I just wanna let go,” Sody sings over soaring synths.
“Let Go” is out now.
